The NEET Examination 2026 will be one of the most competitive exams in India, and a well-planned time framework is the foundation of success. Many aspirants work hard, but only those who manage their time effectively can achieve their target score.

At TargetPMT, we have guided thousands of students toward their dream medical seats, and one of the most important lessons we teach is: “Time is your biggest asset in NEET preparation.”

Here’s how you can establish a practical time framework for your NEET 2026 journey.
Step 1: Break Down Your Preparation Phase
The journey to NEET 2026 should be divided into three clear phases:
1. Foundation Phase (Class 11th & early 12th)
Build strong basics from NCERT.
Focus on concept clarity instead of rushing through chapters.
Make detailed notes for future revision.

2. Acceleration Phase (Mid 12th & one year before exam)
Revise Class 11th topics alongside the Class 12th syllabus.
Start chapter-wise and mixed question practice.
Work on time management while solving questions.

3. Final Phase (Last 6–8 months before NEET 2026)
Prioritize mock tests, revisions, and weak areas.
Practice under real exam conditions.
Avoid starting new books or topics—revise what you have already studied.

Step 2: Daily Time Framework for NEET 2026
Here is a sample daily timetable you can follow (adjust according to school or coaching schedule):
Morning (5:00 – 8:00 AM): Biology – Read NCERT and practice diagrams
Forenoon (9:00 – 12:00 PM): Physics – Focus on concepts and numerical solving
Afternoon (2:00 – 5:00 PM): Chemistry – Inorganic/Organic with NCERT as priority
Evening (6:00 – 8:00 PM): Revision of difficult topics or doubt-solving
Night (9:00 – 10:30 PM): Quick revision and MCQ practice (50–100 questions daily)

A minimum of 8–10 hours of focused self-study, in addition to coaching, is recommended.

Step 3: Weekly Framework
Five days: Learn new topics and practice questions.
One day: Revise Class 11th and 12th chapters already covered.
One day: Attempt a full mock test and analyze mistakes thoroughly.

Step 4: Subject-Wise Time Distribution
Since NEET has 180 questions (720 marks), your time should be allocated according to subject weightage:
Biology – 50% of your time (90 questions, 360 marks)
Chemistry – 25% of your time (45 questions, 180 marks)
Physics – 25% of your time (45 questions, 180 marks)

Biology requires maximum revision, while Physics needs consistent problem-solving practice.

Step 5: Last 3 Months Strategy
Revise NCERT at least four to five times.
Attempt one full mock test daily.
Focus on speed and accuracy under timed conditions.
Prepare a short notes booklet for quick revision of formulas, reactions, and diagrams.
